Omium is a 2 player shoot em up. The 2 players literally face each other as one player controls the ship and shoots at the Bad Guys falling down the screen. The other player is controlling where the Bad Guys are going, how big they are, and how fast they are moving.
There are 3 game modes:
Dodge - The Bad Guys win when one of them touches the ship. The ship can shoot Bad Guys to make them smaller until they pop out of existence.
Juggle - The Bad Guys win when one of them reaches the bottom of the screen or touches the ship. The ship must constantly shoot the Bad Guys into the air to make sure they don’t reach the bottom!
Infinite - Similar to Dodge except that the Bad Guys wrap around to the top of the screen once they reach the bottom. The ship has better ammo in this mode that destroys the Bad Guys faster but this ammo costs more so make sure to save it up.
Omium has been submitted to the app store and should be available very soon!

Yeah cool game and all, but I’m still angry that you just dump an overpriced game (*cough Zero Gear*) onto peoples laps with no updating whatsoever.
Please stop showing off pointless new iPhone games and strive for something better. I could have bought something so much better with that twenty dollars…
Hi,
I am trying to contact you, for a long time, but your contact form is with problems. It presents an error when we try to send it.
Is there some e-mail through which we can talk about some press subjects?
Cheers,
Marcos

I am sorry you feel this way Colonel Popcorn but we have released updates for Zero Gear which have included new items, a new map, and a new gameplay mode.
Marcos, this can happen if something is wrong with the return email address you are using. Make sure you are entering it correctly or try a different return address perhaps.
Hey, just wanted to say I love this game. I dig the idea and the simple execution. The only things I’d like to see would be some power ups and some way of keeping score.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks DocPop! Power ups were definitely something I was considering but in the interest of simplicity and time, they were not fully explored. I also have a few ideas how to make the game more competitive instead of simply keeping score. I am hoping to further develop the game in the future but am not sure when I will be able to do that.
BTW, I noticed from your site you are a SF local too, SF high five!
Yeah, I’m an iPhone game designer that lives in the Mission, but our game company (Tribal Games) is based in San Mateo.
Hey, if you are ever down to get coffee and talk games, let me know. I always like to meet other games folks in the area.
Hey Murphy.
You did release couple updates to Zero Gear and a new map, but still:
- there are bugs left, especially with net code
- Aqua race map has bugs
- I don’t remember any new items released
- you have abandoned support for Zero Gear after February
Just look at guys that are doing Nation Red. They are releasing updates even one year after the game is released. And more are planned. Yet, you after developing Zero Gear for 2 and half years think that supporting it for 2 months is enough. I don’t think that is how you run serious business. At least not on PC.
Good luck on your future iPhone/iPad endeavors, but I think that you should not return to PC game development.
